Syngenta has appointed Jake Braithwaite to the new position of Technical Manager for forestry and landscape in the UK and Ireland, to support the company’s increasing range of products for the industry.
This exciting role, dedicated to supporting Syngenta’s forestry portfolio, demonstrates the company’s commitment to the industry and investment in the further development of innovative products. The appointment follows the successful introduction of Lanzarta for pine weevil control in stika spruce forest establishment.
Jake brings a wealth of experience in product development and application as a field biologist and crop management specialist within the Syngenta trials team. He has extensive knowledge and experience of providing technical and trials support taking early-stage R&D, through to commercial product delivery for customers.
Commenting on his appointment, Jake said: “The role of Technical Manager combines the technical expertise developed as a field biologist, with my passion for supporting customers and commercial teams.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to provide technical leadership for the forestry industry that delivers practical guidance and champions responsible product stewardship. That will build a strong, resilient set of science-based solutions that address evolving customer needs and regulatory requirements.”

Jake will be supported in his role by Syngenta European Technical Manager, Diego Salvador, and specialist Forestry Business Support Manager, Nikolaus Mohrenschildt.
